On behalf of Saginaw Valley State University and our football program I would like to first thank the Coaches Learning Network for inviting us to contribute to their ever publication. It is both a pleasure and an honor.

 

Our offensive philosophy is to put pressure on how the defense can attack us through use of multiple personnel groupings, formations and shifts/motions.

In doing this we hope to accomplish the following:

     1. Reduce the number defensive of looks.

     2. Create 1-on-1 situations for our skilled players.

     3. Create either personnel mismatches or alignment problems.

 

From there we try to find the most efficient way to get the ball into our athletes hands where they can best use their talent to make plays.
